Sarah Maddison is a registered nurse and has worked in the NHS for over 35 years.
After working as a senior sister in several Accident and Emergency departments in London she moved into primary care 18 years ago.
Sarah studied for a BSc in Professional Practice in 1998 and completed her Advanced Nurse Practitioner’s course at MSc level in 2011. She is also a qualified independent prescriber.
Over the years she has developed an interest in respiratory conditions and anticoagulation.
Sarah has a passion for women’s health and is a member of The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health. She has a Diploma in Sexual Health and a licence to prescribe contraception, fit and remove contraceptive implants, remove coils and undertake cervical cytology. She has also completed the British Menopause Society’s course in the Principles in Practice of Menopause Management.
